Miami students limit themselves to one or two libraries on the Oxford campus. In this self-determined project, Miami University looked to draw students to each of the locations in order to expose students to the resources available, such as study rooms, technology rental, and tutoring services. By marketing the four libraries as available, unique, and beneficial for learning, the university can better serve the students’ specific needs.
User: Students at Miami University
Scope: Wayfinding, print design
A four-stop, self-guided tour that takes students from Alumni Hall (the original library) and ends at King Library. Upon completing a brochure, students can redeem one free drink at King Cafe. Each library contains a welcome center, where they can find the map guides and stamp the fold out panels to indicate the libraries they have visited. Wayfinding consistent with the tour branding helps students navigate in libraries they are less familiar with and guides them to resources available.
